Currently, there are no domestic producers of a branded seafood products in the USA, and as a result ~90% of our seafood is imported from off-shore sources. Large meat companies and others have tried to successfully enter this market, but have failed almost every time. APJ has successfully raised tilapia at large scale (500 ton per year in upstate New York, 1997 to 2008). APJ now has protected technology that creates the capability of producing seafood using Recirculating Aquaculture Systems at costs that can compete against imported products.
APJ will license their technology, which has been rigorously tested and used at our farm in Florida, to others to help them successfully raise seafood at lower cost and reduced risk. APJ’s licensed technology reduces capital costs, risk, and the cost of goods to produce seafood. Resulting from our assets and IP, Atlantic APJ has multiple income sources, all of which are focused on the aquaculture industry. These revenue streams are derived from intellectual property and the application of the IP to aquaculture operations, the sale of consulting services and aquaculture educational systems.
We are raising capital to expand our farm and further develop our patented technology in order to get it into the hands of producers around the world
Invest now in the future of aquaculture
Conventional aquaculture monitoring systems only alert an operator if water quality factors deviate from a set range of values. Our Patented machine vision software paired with our custom control system relies on a trained artificially intelligent algorithm to provide early warning of potential problems to farm personnel and use this information to automate response systems such as feeding. Initially aimed at recognizing feeding behavior in fish, it has expanded to detect stress and other health issues at early stages using the same sensory inputs, thereby extending the utility of the technology to a range of management issues in aquaculture.
